Mexico’s presence at World Expos dates from the very first, the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London. Since then, it has participated regularly in World and Specialised Expos. The country became a Member of the BIE for the first time from 1982 to 1994 and then again in 1997. Its participation has been rewarded at several Expos.
