From 5 to 16 June, Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai’s third Theme Week is taking place on the subject of Necessities of Life: Food, Clothing and Shelter", inviting visitors and participants to engage in thoughtful dialogue and dynamic collaboration about the core needs of humanity.
Building on the spirit of global cooperation fostered by previous Theme Weeks, this Theme Week will bring actors from diverse fields to address a fundamental question: how can we ensure that everyone has access to the basic elements needed to live with dignity?

During the course of Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, eight Theme Weeks are being held to encourage International Participants, Japanese government and local government actors, participating companies, and associated stakeholders to address global issues together.
After the first Theme Week in April, focused on “Co-creating Culture for the Future”, the second Theme Week – “The Future of Community and Mobilty” begins today, and will last until 26 May. This Theme Week asks the intriguing question: What is a community where we can live as we are? In doing so, it invites participants from around the globe to explore innovative concepts and technologies that redefine how we live, connect, and move.
