The Federated States of Micronesia becomes a Member State of the BIE

The Federated States of Micronesia has joined the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), bringing the total number of Member States of the Organisation to 182.

In accordance with Article 35 of the 1928 Paris Convention relating to International Exhibitions, the Government of the Federated States of Micronesia submitted the instruments for accession to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 30 March 2023. France, as the depository for the Convention notified the Secretariat of the BIE that the Federated States of Micronesia has adhered to the Convention.

The Federated States of Micronesia is a regular participant in World and Specialised Expos, with its first participation being at Specialised Expo 1993 Daejeon.
