Inside Expo – New frontiers and unexpected hurdles

The newest two episodes of Inside Expo - Expo 2020 Dubai’s podcast series – look near and far in terms of the earthly and the celestial factors that shape World Expos.

‘The Next Great Frontier’ addresses the fascination with space travel and exploration that has shaped the World Expos, from the world’s largest refractory telescope at Expo 1893 Chicago to the Expos of the ‘space age’ and beyond. The episode notes that over 50 years after the moon landing, public interest in space is growing once again, as highlighted by the UAE’s Hope Mission to Mars, and the strong presence of space-themed exhibits at Expo 2020 Dubai.

Meanwhile, ‘Disruptions to Expo’ features Expo 2020 Dubai Director General H.E. Reem Al Hashimy as she recounts the unprecedented changes that the Covid-19 pandemic brought to the journey towards Expo 2020 Dubai.

Inside Expo is a bi-weekly podcast series by Expo 2020 Dubai and produced by Kerning Cultures Network.
