166th General Assembly of the BIE

The BIE held its 166th General Assembly in Paris on 27 November, gathering delegates of its 170 Member States. The meeting was the opportunity for past and upcoming Expos to present reports, as well as for Member States to approve the nomination of a new Secretary General and hold elections to the Presidency of the Organisation.

During the BIE’s 166th General Assembly, Member States approved the nomination of Dimitri Kerkentzes as Secretary General of the BIE. He will replace Vicente G. Loscertales on 1 January 2020.
