Prix BIE-Cosmos (edition Yeosu) Lancement de l’appel à projets

Le BIE a le plaisir d'annoncer qu'il accepte désormais des candidatures pour la troisième édition du Prix BIE-Cosmos qui sera attribué lors de l'EXPO 2012 Yeosu en République de Corée l'année prochaine.

Le Prix BIE-Cosmos, EXPO 2012 Yeosu Pour des côtes et des océans vivants Prix soutient des projets à but non lucratif, novateurs, émanant de la société civile et directement liés au thème « Pour des côtes et des océans vivants : diversité des ressources et activités durables».

Le Prix sera remis au cours de la prochaine EXPO (12 mai – 12 août 2012) et les finalistes auront l'opportunité de promouvoir leurs projets à l'EXPO 2012 Yeosu. Le gagnant recevra une récompense en numéraire de 20.000 € (vingt mille euros) pour développer son projet.

Un projet de collaboration entre le BIE et the Commemorative Foundation for the International Garden and Greenery Exposition, Osaka, Japan (Expo '90 Foundation), le Prix a comme objectifs:

• de promouvoir la participation active des citoyens, qui accroît considérablement le dynamisme de ces événements internationaux, et
• de soutenir la participation active des citoyens oeuvrant au bénéfice de la société dans des domaines liés au thème de l'exposition.

24/10/10 - The jury for the “BIE-Cosmos Prize, EXPO Shanghai 2010 for Better City, Better Life” has announced that the Prize will go to the project, "For Our Daughters," submitted by the non-profit organization Chain Reaction and represented by Professor Zhang Xiaosong.

Chain Reaction is a private NPO for the protection and promotion of local indigenous culture in Guizhou, China, which aims to empower ethnic minority women, emigrating from rural villages to urban centers, to successfully design, produce, and market traditional cultural handicrafts as a way to help them achieve better living standards and be better integrated into their new urban lives. These efforts are also meant to help Guizhou's urban centers to retain their cultural traditions and unique characteristics.

"For Our Daughters" assists local women at all stages of their traditional handicraft production, with the program encompassing workstation construction, master artisan training, production training, entrepreneurial assistance manager and online skills training, as well as heritage preservation (training in documentation methods). The BIE-Cosmos Prize is a monetary award of 20,000 Euros given to a selected not-for-profit project related to the theme of the Expo at which it is awarded.

Posters of all ten nominated projects for the Shanghai edition of the Prize have been displayed at EXPO 2010 during the six months in three locations (Media Center, Theme Pavilion, and Future Pavilion). The nominated projects were selected out of 52 projects from 26 countries and evaluated by an international jury.

The award ceremony will take place on the BIE Day at the Expo on October 30th, the day before the closing of the Expo.

Le dossier d'enregistrement de Milan 2015 a été soumis au BIE

23/04/10 – Le dossier de demande d'enregistrement de l'Expo Universelle de 2015 à Milan, en Italie, a été présenté jeudi au BIE.

Le délégué italien auprès du BIE, l'Ambassadeur Maurizio Serra, a remis, avec le dossier d'enregistrement, au Secrétaire Général du BIE, Vicente González Loscertales, une lettre d'engagement signée par le Premier Ministre Silvio Berlusconi, qui garantie le soutien du Gouvernement italien pour le projet.

Au cours d'une vidéo-conférence entre Paris et Milan, l'Ambassadeur Serra a annoncé la soumission du dossier d'enregistrement au BIE.

Le Secrétaire Général du BIE a félicité Expo 2015 SpA, la société chargée de l'organisation de l'Expo, pour les progrès accomplis jusqu'à présent, sous la direction de son PDG, M. Luico Stanca. M. Loscertales a également salué l'engagement de Mme Letizia Moratti, Commissaire Extraordinaire pour l'Expo et Maire de Milan, ainsi que celui du Gouvernement italien pour le projet.

Depuis le Palazzo Reale de Milan, M. Stanca a souligné l'importance de l'acte d'enregistrement pour la mise en œuvre du projet Expo et a reconfirmé sa vision de l'Expo.

Le dossier d'enregistrement de plus de 500 pages expose le master plan définitif de l'Expo.

Le dossier d'enregistrement sera examiné par les Etats membres du BIE, la Commission Exécutive et l'Assemblée Générale pour approbation finale avant la fin de l'année.

The nominated projects will be displayed at the Expo in three locations: Theme Pavilion, UBPA (Urban Best Practices Area), and Media Center.

An international jury will evaluate the nominated projects during the Expo and select one winner.

The award ceremony will be held on the BIE Day (October 30, 2010), the day before the Expo closing.

The BIE received 52 applications from 26 countries for this edition.

Qu'est-ce que le Prix?: "Le Prix BIE-Cosmos, EXPO Shanghai 2010 pour Meilleure ville, meilleure vie" reconnaîtra les projets à but non lucratif d'individus et d'organisations qui oeuvrent dans un domaine lié au thème de l'Expo: le développement urbain et l'amélioration de la qualité de vie dans les villes.

Le Prix: Le gagnant recevra la somme de 20 000 € (vingt mille euros) pour financer le développement de son projet et tous les finalistes auront l'opportunité de promouvoir leurs projets à EXPO Shanghai 2010 (1er mai - 31 octobre 2010).

Qui: Le Prix est remis par le BIE et la Fondation Expo '90 du Japon en collaboration avec les organisateurs de l'Expo afin d'encourager les efforts communautaires dans les domaines liés au thème de l'Expo.
