Applicants who wish to submit their projects for the BIE-Cosmos Prize should do so before the deadline, February 7, 2010.

What: "BIE-Cosmos Prize, EXPO Shanghai 2010 for Better City, Better Life" will recognize not-for-profit projects by individuals and organizations working in fields related to the Expo theme of urban development and the amelioration of quality of life in cities.

The Prize: One winner will win 20,000 € (twenty thousand Euros) to fund the development of the chosen project and all nominees will have a chance to promote their projects at EXPO Shanghai 2010 (May 1 - October 31, 2010).

Who: The Prize is awarded by the BIE and the Expo '90 Foundation of Japan, in collaboration with Expo organizers to encourage grassroots efforts in the fields related to the Expo theme .
