The Forum 2004 Expo Shanghai China is organised by the International Exhibitions Bureau and the Municipal Government of Shanghai.
It is the second forum that has been organised in light of the preparations for the universal exhibition of 2010 which will take place in Shanghai. The 91 Member States of the BIE elected in December 2002, China (Shanghai), to host the universal exhibition of 2010 with the theme Better City, Better Life.
The first forum took place in Shanghai on the 30th and 31st October 2003 with the theme Better City, Better Life, the theme of Expo 2010 Shanghai facing the future with the following four sub-themes:
- Expo, scientific innovation and human life.
- Expo and urban economic development.
- Expo and Cultural Integration and Diversity.
- Expo and sustainable urban development.

The second Forum 2004 Expo 2010 Shanghai China Cultural Diversity and Cultural Integration in Cities in the 21st Century will take place in Paris on the 25th of June 2004.
It will unite international experts, scientists and known figures from the cultural world, the political scene and the business world into three discussion groups:
- Cultural diversity in cities of the 21st Century.
- Cultural integration in cities of the 21st Century.
- Towards a new urban culture in the 21st Century.

The registration of journalists will take place a 9am at the Press Reception where a folder with all the Forum documentation will be distributed along with the badge.
