    Russia (Ekaterinburg), Japan (Osaka), Azerbaijan (Baku) and France (Greater Paris) have submitted their bid dossiers for the organisation of World Expo 2025 to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The four candidates thus enter the project examination phase of the bidding process. Bid dossiers are comprehensive documents detailing the Expo project. They are sent to delegates of all the BIE’s 170 Member States and outline the candidate’s vision for the Expo, including the site, the theme, and the planned intellectual and physical legacy.     The four countries seeking to organise World Expo 2025 – France (Greater Paris), Japan (Osaka), Russia (Ekaterinburg) and Azerbaijan (Baku) – presented their Expo projects to the 161st General Assembly of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) on 14 June 2017.     Japan submitted today a letter of candidature to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) to organise World Expo 2025 in Osaka. Japan’s candidature for Osaka is based on the theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, and the Expo would be open from 3 May to 3 November 2025.
