Albania’s pavilion at Expo 2015 Milan drew on the country’s history and geographical position at a crossroads where different cultures and religions come together. Once inside the pavilion, visitors could experience Albania’s tradition of hospitality.

By presenting good practices in organic agriculture, Albania demonstrated how it is possible to produce more food while also protecting a country’s natural resources. The pavilion included an area where typical Albanian dishes were prepared to show that traditional cuisine can coexist with modern sustainability practices.
Traditional products such as ceramics, mosaics and woodwork were also presented.

Tradition and innovation were the two cornerstones of the Albanian pavilion and were visible in the different exhibits. Culture and tradition were symbolised by a windmill, while the future and sustainable development were presented using digital content.
